Frugal-guy

Normal guy learning the ropes about money and sharing them with everyone. As long as what I say helps one person, it is worth the time. I learned about money the hard way. By losing it. That will not happen again. I hope this helps you. Browse my archive for more useful info. Excuses… … .

Hello guys,

Had a nice scare of an almost loss in my family. Kind of reminds me of all the stuff I did to excuse myself from things. You look back with a bit of regret. How about yourself?

When it comes to money, what have you regretted doing? Is it getting a car that was way out of your league? Is it a business plan you were too scared to take off the ground and found out someone else did what you planned about five years later and is raking in the dough. Is it saving for retirement and you are 65 already with only social security to fall back on? There are many examples but here is a few to make you think of your situation.

I don’t know, it just has me thinking of what I wish I have done sooner. I wish I bought that 2 acres of land in laveen, AZ when I was given the opportunity. I thought going to clubs and having fun money was more important. I wished I learned about personal finance before I ever heard of a credit card. I would have never been coerced to think about bankruptcy at an early age. I think borrowing money was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever done in my past. To just think how much I threw away in just interest every year. If you do not know the facts of what interest is I suggest you wake up and learn. There is a better life than what you have when you borrow. Train yourself to put the money aside for your purchases. I know it is an abstract idea but let’s just look at the idea. If you put money aside for all your purchases there will be more money in your wallet in the long run for one main reason. Interest. That money you would normally give to banks and loan companies would go to you instead. I am talking thousands of dollars every year. Is it easy? Nope!!!! Is it worth it? Yes!

I hear excuses after excuses when it comes to wanting to learn finance. I actually feel sorry for those who turn down my offers for help. They do not know what they are missing out on. A better life. We are trained yes I did say trained to live a life of borrowing based on a number. Your credit score. What would you do if you never had to worry about your score again. I mean, no need to worry about a credit score if you never borrowed money right? And for those of you fed the lie of needing a credit score to purchase a home need to wake up. Look up Manual underwriting in a google search to learn a better way. You are giving up a life of wealth when you borrow money.

There is a difference between looking rich and being rich. Wake up sooner than regretting it later with your excuses. Find solutions to get things done instead of defending your personal habits and lifestyle.

I regret my excuses for my past. I don’t want any of you regretting your pasts.

Live a better life everyone.

Be smart. Be frugal. Be a better you.
